The Academy is selective. Candidates must demonstrate professionalism, available time, licensing eligibility, willingness to perform substantive mortgage work, and commitment to Q Mortgage training and compliance standards.

Time Expectations

Completing the readiness application takes as long as you need — there is no fixed time limit, and a started application is saved so you can resume it.
Approved prelicensing education and SAFE exam preparation are self-paced through our education partner, The CE Shop; how long they take depends on your own schedule and study pace.
Weekly time commitment during Q Mortgage certification and supervised residency is discussed individually during onboarding, since it depends on your production goals and availability.

Any timeline published here will be approximate. Licensing timelines depend on NMLS, the Texas Department of Savings and Mortgage Lending, and each candidate's individual circumstances.
